Waited on tables for a few years after completing my Master's Degree. Also worked as an artist, musician and substitute teacher at this time. While waiting on tables I refined my sales and customer service skills.

IS0 9000 - Management System Developer
Developed first-of-their-kind policies, procedures, and work instructions in collaboration with Minnesota branch operations managers that were in conformance with the ISO 9002-1994 standard; promoted and supported the implementation of these approved policies and procedures through development and maintenance of Quality Management system certified according to the ISO 9002-1994 standard by independent ISO auditor; managed team of operations managers responsible for maintaining Internal Audit and Corrective Action program; oversaw re-certification process during annual external audit.
DAKOTA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Responsible for museum and society operations which consumed between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 annually; managed paid and volunteer staff of six employees and over 50 volunteers; directly responsible for all production in education, fundraising, exhibition, events, and marketing/public/government and media relations departments; managed and promoted the development of PC network and first-ever database and digital graphics department; supervised museum's publications, collections management, research departments, and volunteer opportunities program; reported directly to Board of Directors; attended Dakota County Board meetings; defined and developed the museum/society annual and five-year long-range plans; participated in or directed various community projects sponsored by Dakota County government: active member of the Dakota County Sesquicentennial Committee; served as chair of both Dakota County 20th Century History Book Committee and the Dakota County Art and History in Public Places Committee.
